Thank you so much for watching the bunkies YouTube channel where I talk about things that I do as a dad from chickens to tech to work and everything in between today we’re unboxing and talking about the anchor power wave so anchor was great enough to send this out to me to test out and review if you become a part of their community which I’ll put a link in the description you can also do testing reviews and talk more about their products so special thanks to them so today we’re gonna go over what it is what it does and what I like about it stay tuned [Applause] [Music] [Music] all right it’s opened up and you saw the packaging it’s pretty minimal which is just fine cuz you’re gonna throw it all out or recycle it anyway the pad itself has a rubberized feel to the top and the bottom within a hard plastic smooth edge as you can see there definitely picks up some dust which is fines your phone sitting on top of it but just something to keep in mind it is a micro USB port and then it has a simple blue light when it is charging they note that it’s a 10 watt maximum Wireless charge it does 7.5 Watts for the iPhone XS Mac’s XR XS X 8 8 plus etc you can get 8 or excuse me 10 watts fast charging on the galaxy s 10 s9 s 9 plus note etc one thing of note is choosing the right charger or charging adapter I thought it did come with one but it does not they recommend a quick charge 2.0 or 3.0 charger if you don’t already know you have to lay the phone down the backside onto it it won’t charge it through the screen and then lastly cases mine has a spigen thin armor case slim armor case and it works just fine if you look here it’s already picking up some dust and it’s brand new it’s about 4 inches with a rounded edge it looks a little less on the video I’m using a pixel 3 XL with a case and you’ll see drop it down there takes half a second and then it says it’s charging wirelessly I tested it multiple times to see if there is any issue with it hitting the pad and not showing it charging but it worked every single time which is great the blue light switch you can see under the phone when I pick it up shows that it’s charging and then when it turns green the phone is fully charged or you just see it here it is without the case which I never do but it seems to show that it’s charging a little bit faster I could be wrong I wasn’t running a timer but it does seem to do a little faster without the case and then that’s just the case itself and I’ll put a link in the description if you want to know what I have overall I think this is a great charger it’s quite small I like the rubberized feel to it it’s definitely not a quick charge kind of thing so if you need a quick charge and you have this you probably should just plug into the stock charger I will say though as an overnight charger or charger on your desk at the office or maybe even in your car where you’re just gonna lay your phone down and it’s gonna stay there for an extended amount of time I think this charger is perfect it’s super convenient you don’t have to fumble with wires you can watch YouTube videos at nights when you’re done you can just kind of slam it down on this thing here and it charges it you don’t have to be fumbling around for a wire at night additionally in the kitchen I think it’d be great as well you’re prepping a snack you’re making nachos you put the charger put it right on the charger and it charges it so again thanks again for anchor for sending this if this was helpful in any way I love a thumbs up additionally I’d love to hear your comments below whether you’ve used this before or if you have any questions about anchor products I have quite a few things from them that I’ve purchased from wires to charging bricks where that has 12 USBs in it so you can charge the kids and your stuff and everything that needs a wire and quite a few batteries for camping so I do have experience with their products lastly go ahead and hit that red subscribe button to see more tech videos home surveillance and chicken things around the farm here thanks again for watching the bunkies youtube channel

What’s included in the box?

  • PowerWave Pad 10W Max
  • 4ft Micro USB Cable
  • Quick Start Guide

After going through this unit and testing it for a few days. I have come to the conclusion that this is a fantastic wireless charger for your nightstand, around the house or in the kitchen.

If you need super-fast charging, I would recommend using your stock charger but having it around the house is a convenient way to keep your phone topped off.

Full Details:

  • The Anker Advantage: Join the 30+ million powered by our leading technology.
  • The Need for Speed: A high-efficiency chipset provides 10W high-speed charging for Samsung Galaxy, while iPhones get a boosted 7.5W charge that’s 10% faster than other wireless chargers. FOR BEST RESULTS, use a Quick Charge adapter (9V/2A) for Samsung Galaxy and iPhone charging.
  • LED Indicator: The LED indicator lets you know the charging status. If the indicator is FLASHING BLUE, check to make sure that there are no objects between your phone and the charging surface. If the indicator is FLASHING GREEN, make sure you are using a 5V/2A or above adapter, or try a different adapter and cable.
  • Case Friendly: Don’t fumble with your phone case. PowerWave transmits charging power directly through protective cases. Rubber/plastic/TPU cases UNDER 5 MM THICKNESS ONLY. Magnetic and metal attachments or cards will prevent charging.

Thanks again to Anker for sending this unit out.
